Our second release in THE LORD OF THE RINGS™ poster coin series is for the second film in the iconic trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
In the second part of the trilogy, Frodo Baggins and the other members of The Fellowship, continue on their sacred quest to destroy the One Ring - but on separate paths. Their destinies lie at two towers - Orthanc Tower in Isengard, where the corrupt wizard Saruman awaits, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dûr, deep within the dark lands of Mordor.
Made with 1oz pure silver, this special piece has been shaped and coloured to replicate the original poster of the film that came out in 2002. The design includes detailed, frosted engravings of Barad-dûr and the film’s logo, which stands out beautifully against the coloured imagery. A mirror-finish border surrounds the image to further enhance the design. On the obverse is the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, as confirmation of the coin’s legal tender.
Created in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the coin is held inside an acrylic capsule for protection. It’s tucked in blue velvet inside a custom-designed case that includes a large window for easy showcasing of your precious coin. On the back, you will find the coin’s specifications and a Certificate of Authenticity. Displayed below is the coin’s unique number in the limited mintage of 3,000.
