A new Disney Princess Chibi® Coin is on sale now featuring the elegant and kind Aurora from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, the studio’s sixteenth animated feature film. It recounts the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed by the wicked Maleficent to die before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday by pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. However, as fans of the Disney classic know well, the curse if softened by the good fairy Merryweather, so Aurora will fall into a deep sleep from which she can only be awakened by true love’s kiss. Her story is another Disney classic to remind us that “love conquers all”.
This 1oz of pure silver has been shaped and coloured to represent Aurora. She is wearing her iconic pink ballgown with her gorgeous golden hair flowing. Even though it is shaped and coloured on one side, this ounce of pure silver is still a legal tender coin. The Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II can be seen on the obverse. A Certificate of Authenticity is also printed on the box along with the coin’s unique serial number.
The outer box is lovingly designed with imagery from Sleeping Beauty, including Aurora, her three guardian fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather and some of her many woodland friends. It includes a large window so you can easily display the coin in this beautiful packaging.
