Our celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the original super hero team, the JUSTICE LEAGUE™, continues with the mighty King of the Seven Seas, AQUAMAN™.
A founding member of the JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA™, AQUAMAN has fought alongside SUPERMAN™, BATMAN™ and WONDER WOMAN™ and held his own against the biggest threats the universe has ever seen. Despite being misunderstood by many as someone who merely “talks to fish,” AQUAMAN’s super-strength and fighting prowess alone make him a force to be reckoned with. His telepathic abilities make him one of the most powerful minds on the planet. If one chooses to underestimate the sea king, they do so at their own peril.
Officially licensed by DC Comics, this 1oz pure silver coin shows the AQUAMAN logo front and centre against a striking coloured image of AQUAMAN brandishing his trident. Completing the vintage comic design is a background engraving of AQUAMAN gliding through the water. As a legal tender coin, the opposite side features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Packaged in an acrylic display block, the coin arrives inside an outer box printed with more vintage AQUAMAN imagery.
This release has a limited mintage of only 1,960 coins, to reflect the year that the JUSTICE LEAGUE was formed. A Certificate of Authenticity, with a unique serial number, is placed inside the packaging confirming the significant coin issue date of 2020.
